I did a vacation trip to New York City recently and as usual in me I seek to give any friends being wherever I get to travel — in this case, longtime trade colleague Sebastian Delmont — a gift. Sebastian has two kids, Maya and Diego, which are seriously funny children. So it was obvious — why not put them two in a portrait? I wanted to test again the feel of drawing with sketching crayon pencils on Canson paper. It took me several days to finish this, but I’m happy to see that I haven’t lost yet the skills for drawing on paper as I used to many years before.
Rest assured the Delmonts really liked the result. And I’m deeply grateful for that.
